Event Details

This year, we have THREE different ways you can show the love of Christ to others around us: Projects RED, GOLD, and GREEN! The red and gold projects will occur during the Christmas season, and the green component will start in January and continue all year long!

PROJECT RED: H.U.G.S (Hats, Underwear, Gloves, Socks)
Our community partner, Gardner International Magnet School, is mostly made up of children from refugee and immigrant families and nearly all are from families in poverty. Gardner serves close to 900 kids from kindergarten through 8th grade. Bless a Gardner student by providing a zip top bag filled with H.U.G.S. (hat, underwear, gloves, and socks)! for a reclosable bag with a child’s first name, gender, and sizes, then shop for that child and fill the bag. Add a handwritten note of encouragement for the child and return your sealed bag to the H.U.G.S. containers in the Atrium by December 4 for delivery to Gardner! This is an easy way to bring warm Christmas wishes to a child in need this winter.

PROJECT GOLD: Angel Tree Christmas
Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree Christmas project allows incarcerated men and women to send Christmas gifts to their children through the generosity of Christ followers. This Christmas, we have the opportunity to serve 60 children by buying one clothing item and one toy for each child. You can buy one or more gifts and are welcome to choose the gender and age of the child you’d like to bless.
*All Angel Tree tags have been picked up!!! But, we still need volunteers to help with the December 7 party! Please contact Christy below if you’re able to help!

PROJECT GREEN: Christ in Our Communities
The GREEN opportunity, like an evergreen tree, will continue all year long! In January, we will invite you to gather with a few family members, friends, yourNeighborhood Cluster, your disciple-making group, or others to create and carry out an outreach project. The project will bless and serve a group of people God has given you a passion for–your neighbors, a single mom, the homeless, nursing home residents, refugees–whoever it is God has placed on your mind and heart! Watch for details in January!
